I’m Chris Adams, owner of Adams Residential Inspections. I grew up in Asheville, and Western North Carolina is home. I’ve been inspecting homes for nearly 10 years, helping buyers, sellers, and homeowners understand the properties they’re making important decisions about.
Before becoming a home inspector, I worked across a range of construction trades—including plumbing, fire sprinkler systems, framing, roofing, tile, and insulation. I’ve always enjoyed learning how things are built, and moving between trades gave me hands-on experience with many of the systems and materials that make up a home.
Today, I bring that practical background and an inspector’s perspective to every property: looking closely, documenting what I observe, and explaining what the findings mean for you.

My home inspection training changed the way I looked at construction. It taught me that knowing how to do a job and understanding whether an installation is correct are different things. Without proper guidance and supervision, even familiar work can leave important details overlooked.
That lesson has stayed with me. I look beyond how a home appears on the surface, paying attention to visible installation details, signs of wear, and how its systems and components work together.
My goal is to give you useful information: what I observed, why it matters, and what deserves further attention. You can review your report at your own pace and reach out with questions.

When I’m not inspecting homes, you’ll often find me on the golf course, out for a hike, or spending time with my dogs. I enjoy getting outside and making the most of the mountains we’re lucky to call home.
Western North Carolina is where I grew up, where I work, and where I enjoy life beyond the workday. Serving people here is personal to me, and I want you to feel comfortable reaching out and asking questions.
